Luke was born and raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Classen High School in 2002. He attended the University of Oklahoma and in January 2003 he enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard as an Infantryman. After attending One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, GA, Luke returned to Oklahoma and served with C/1-180th Infantry Company in Ada, OK. Luke reached the rank of Specialist/E-4 and served on the breach team before signing an ROTC contract and serving as acting Platoon Leader as a Cadet. After graduating from OU in 2006, Luke entered Active Duty as a 2nd Lieutenant and was stationed at Ft. Riley, KS. He took charge of 3d PLT/24th Transportation Company and in April 2007, deployed to Iraq for 15 months delivering supplies from Turkey to Northern Iraq. In June of 2009, Luke deployed as the S4 Logistics Officer for Provincial Reconstruction Team Khost in eastern Afghanistan for nine months. Luke is currently a Graduate Student at the University of Oklahoma for Public Administration and lives in Oklahoma City.
