Noah Pena, a native of Canute, Oklahoma, graduated from Westmore High School in 2007. That same year, Noah had the opportunity to shadow Sally Kern, state representative in HD84. This experience led to his social awakening and his need to be politically involved. Shortly after graduating high school, Noah realized his political interests through the leadership of other Oklahoma Young Democrats. In the spring of 2010, he joined the Jim Priest for Attorney General campaign, serving as the scheduling coordinator. He was also appointed to Chair of the Minority Caucus in the fall of 2010. This gave him the experience to confidently execute the 2011 YDO State Convention as Chairman. Noah intends to return to school, where he will major in Public Relations. He has worked in the financial industry for four years now. Currently, Noah lives in Moore.
Cassi Peters
Executive Vice President
A native of Marlow, Oklahoma, Cassi became involved in the Young Democrats of Oklahoma in 2007. She has served the organization in many roles, including President (2010-11). Cassi is also heavily involved with the Young Democrats of America, where she currently serves as Chair of the YDA Rural Caucus. She is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, and after college, Cassi moved to Washington, DC, where she worked as a production assistant for Grunwald Communications, assisting in production of ads for Sen. Al Franken (MN), Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (NH), and Gov. John Lynch (NH). After returning to Oklahoma, Cassi served as Communications and New Media Director for Jim Priest for Attorney General and currently serves as Political Director for Sally’s List. Cassi currently lives in Norman with her husband, Joe and new daughter, Josi.
Stuart Campbell
Vice President of Membership
Stuart Campbell, 22, lives in Bethany, Oklahoma and attended Southern Nazarene University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Politics and Law. While attending SNU, Stuart spent his Spring 2010 semester in Washington, D.C taking classes and interning at a non-governmental organization on Capitol Hill. Upon his return to OKC in May 2010, Stuart began working with the Oklahoma State Senate Democrats (OSSD). Stuart worked on several state Senate campaigns, including Senate Minority Leader Andrew Rice’s reelection campaign. Stuart worked closely with Senator Rice and the constituents of senate district 46. Stuart has also been involved in many YDO-led campaigns in Oklahoma. After the 2010 election cycle, Stuart was asked to be the interim VP of Membership for YDO. Stuart is now in his second term as VP of Membership for YDO. Stuart and his wife, Karen, live in Northwest OKC. In his free time, Stuart loves cycling and spending time with close friends. He enjoys hockey, and especially the OKC Barons.
Summer, a native of Tulsa, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma. Currently, she is working toward a Master of Human Relations in HR Management. She serves as a financial associate for a top four ranked school in the nation. She oversees and manages $15+ million of budgetary and financial planning. Summer also volunteers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oklahoma as a Wish Granter. She serves on the statewide council for the Association of American University Women. When Summer is not volunteering, she can be found training to run her second full marathon this year. Her dream is to one day qualify for the Boston Marathon. She currently lives in Norman and is a proud member of the Cherokee Nation.
Jonathan Still
National Committee Man
Jonathan is a 2001 graduate of Midwest City High School and a member of the Northeast Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. At the Northeast Church of Christ, he has served as a Bible School teacher, and participates with various projects and initiatives with the congregation. He’s also a graduating senior of the University of Phoenix, majoring in Criminal Justice Administration. Politically, Jonathan became involved with the Democratic Party through the Young Democrats of Oklahoma in 2005. Within the Young Democrats of Oklahoma, he has served as Minority Caucus Vice Chairman & Chairman, Vice President of Membership, and now National Committeeman. He has worked with individuals such as State Rep. Anastasia Pittman, State Rep. Mike Shelton, and has served as a political intern for the Democratic National Committee in Washington D.C. Currently, Jonathan serves as Secretary for Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District Democrats and is active with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., NAACP, Urban League Young Professionals of Oklahoma City, the Capitol Chamber of Commerce, and is employed with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.
